Typewriter Studio is a recording/production studio based in Toronto that specializes in independent recording projects, commercial songwriting and production, and soundtrack scoring. The studio is located on a quiet, tree-lined street in the east end of the city in a detached 3-bedroom home. We have experience in production, mixing, songwriting, and session performance (guitar, drums, piano, and vocal) as well as the business side of the industry, including publicity, booking, touring, and design work. With a diverse skill set, every project is handled with consummate care and attention to detail.
A drummer for indie bands for 10 years before becoming front man for his own project (The Young Novelists), he is also an award-winning songwriter (Galaxie Rising Star Award (2010), Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award (2015)) who has had placements in television shows as well as writing for soundtracks. Graydon specializes in production, mixing, session drumming (live or recorded), songwriting, and soundtrack scoring. On the business side, Graydon handles booking and publicity for his own band, and has ample experience, contacts, and advice for bands/artists looking to expand their touring to new markets. He is also an author, and his debut novel (The Mall of Small Frustrations) is available on Amazon.com.
